Good afternoon, thank you for joining us again here by design contracting, concrete tulsa, and we are here today and we love concrete. We love our customers and we want to talk to you today about the wonderful wonders of concrete and it’s oh so many uses here at by design contracting, concrete tulsa. We not only pour concrete and make all of the concrete on the outside of your home, beautiful and amazing. We are like to make the inside of your home look absolutely stunning as well andhow. Would you do that with concrete? Well, the best way to do that with concrete is with your flooring. That’s the most obvious and width flooring, there’s a lot of options of things that people have done over the years and some are a lot better than others. A lot of times we work on homes were working on an existing home, that’s been around for a few years and that sometimes does limit your options and in a lot of houses in a lot of living areas. Sometimes people want to go ahead and have a nice polish floor. Put inellie love to polish floors. I would say a good 10 years ago, 11 12 years ago, even though we invested into our polishing operation and polishing concrete is a beautiful way to make concrete, look nice and have an extremely good easy to take care of durable floor and the way that happens is you take equipment that has polishing diamonds on it and you slowly take the concrete from a very rough ugly porous surface and you home that concrete down to a beautiful polished shine, not really any different than you would go through the process of polishing fine jewelry and to get to that process. It takes. You know a good date, 10 steps realistically to go from a really rough surface down to a very beautiful shine and polishing concrete is one of the best ways to get a beautiful finish that lasts for a long time. A lot of people try to put a surface on here at by design contracting, concrete tulsa doesn’t have the beauty or the durability of a polished surface, sometimes they’ll take an existing slab and want to put a stain on it or an acid stain, giving it just kind of a quick finish, and that is one way to do it, but generally that needs to have a lot of maintenance. That needs to be constantly sealed and and reseal. So here at by design contracting concrete tulsa. We we don’t really do a lot of those floors, because a lot of people don’t want to do that. The work to keep them up in the maintain them and every year to when they have to do maintenance on those floors. They generally don’t do it, and then you end up with a floor that just doesn’t look real nice. So we don’t really do too many of those. But what we do recommend to most of our customers is a beautiful polish and when you knew polish floor, you have to embrace the history of the floor sometimes on the floors. They’ve had holes knocked in them and they have to be repaired or they’ve had a carpet strip around the perimeter, which leaves a whole lot of little holes or sometimes they’ve, moved to wall and repurpose that room for something new, and when you embrace the fact that the floor has history and you’ve got a rock concrete floor, you’re going to love it because it gives a beautiful, warm comfortable environment when it’s polished and it looks beautiful against the walls in the furniture and and just the whole setting of the home. So here at by design, contracting concrete tulsa, we do a lot of beautiful floors with polish and we are working on a polished floor today. So that’s what got me on this subject:we’ve got a customer that has decided to read, do and rebuild a walk in basement in their home. They just purchased recently purchased the home and when they did, they did a bunch of outside work. Check the home and now they’ve decided to make this beautiful, walk-in basement space into an environment that both beautiful and functional for their family. So we have come in today to polish the floor and in that process will come in and pull off, moldings and prepare them. The room to have polish done will come in and take that surface and all the way around the perimeter will protect the walls with plastic and then we come in and we start to grind on the floor using a wet grinding process which allows all that sediment to come up and mixed with water and be vacuumed up and into a slurry and carried away that keeps the environment, so there’s really very little mess or dust and allows all of that material. This picked up to be safely taken away and that floor is cleaned and brought up through several layers of that process. That wet grinding process and that’ll bring the floor down to a very low sheen and to a floor that is nice and smooth, and at that point you can look at the floor and see anywhere. It has damaged anywhere. That may need to have some rehab work done to it. It opens up anything on the floor and you can see the total history of the floor. You can see how the floor was laid down. If there’s trowel mark, she can see any of that. So here it by design, contracting, concrete tulsa will take that floor and will bring it to that point and then we’ll put down a densifier. Identifier is a material that, when put down literally grows crystals in the concrete, and it feels all those little tiny, my new voice on a molecular level and it grows crystals in there and seals that up that helps to keep water that in past may have migrated or moisture that may have migrated up from underneath the surface of the concrete and caused some moisture on the floor.

It helps that water to stop migrating up into the concrete and keeps the moisture level down, and when we do that, that also gives a not only the concrete, the aggregate, the sand and and rocked in there, but it also adds a little bit of crystals into the surface that are very, very hard and I’m. So when we go on with the polishing process, we’re polishing that end of the floor and will take that floor up another three or four steps in the process and at that point you’ll also want to add. Maybe you want to die the floor. Maybe you want the floor to have a beautiful color to it and you can add, dies in to the floor. The real nice selection of of dyes that you can add that look beautiful and when you do that, you can have a nice color, posh shiny, beautiful floor here at by design contracting, concrete tulsa. It gives you shine that last a lot of years now, when you’re done with this floor, the finished product is your concrete. The finished product is not a surface sealer, something that’s going to go on the top and and be subject to a massive amount of wear and tear and scratching and stuffing it’s actually, your concrete. That leaves the surface. That’s shiny and beautiful, and the one thing that we do recommend is that people put a lithium protectant a guard products down, because your pores of your concrete is open and anything that is spilled on the floor will want to absorb down into the floor a little bit. And so we put a guard product on. It, helps keep the staining down and I’m going to be put that on we, furnish that in with a heat pad that actually sets the residence in that and pushes it into the pores of the floor to again make a much more floor. That’s much more durable and beautiful, and if you have a of a situation where your polishing, you might have a warehouse floor that will give you up a floor. That’s very much impervious to tire marks or wear and tear from just about anything you put over it. So here by design, contracting, concrete tulsa. We left concrete wheel of concrete polishing and i. Thank you for joining us todaygood afternoon.
